GET INVOLVED Volunteer With Us

We invite volunteers to support our work. This does not necessarily have to occur in person at Amrita Bhoomi, volunteers can also support us from afar.

We encourage people to send us a note to abhoomi.edu@gmail.com about themselves, along with their specific skills, why and when they are interested to volunteer. While it may not always be possible for us to accommodate volunteers, we will try our best to do so, and we will maintain your information on file in case any future projects come up.

The specific types of skills we are looking for but are not limited to are:-

1. Translation/interpretation (Indian and foreign languages): We frequently host farmers meetings, including meetings between farmers from across India as well as with farmers from around the world. If you are able to interpret at a meeting, or translate documents, drop us a line and we will get in touch when the opportunity arises.

2. Communications: If you are photographer, like to write blog articles, are interested in agrarian issues, and are based in Karnataka, then we welcome you to write for our blog.

3. Teaching children: If you are teacher, and have experience working with children, then we welcome you to organize workshops in art, music, theatre, computers, gardening and plants, English language among others for children between ages 5-15. There are many children from the neighbouring villages and Amrita Bhoomi aims to create a learning program for them in the future. 4. Farm work: During peak labour intensive seasons like sowing or harvesting we often welcome volunteers to stay at Amrita Bhoomi and support the farm work.
